Renewable energy advocacy to promote the adoption of sustainable energy sources, moving towards conservation of natural resources, climate resilient finance and practicing environmentally sound development to mitigate climate change in accordance with SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

Agriculture and Food Security

Explore the policies, practices, and innovations aimed at ensuring food security and sustainable agricultural development. This includes examining agricultural productivity, sustainable farming methods, food distribution systems, and the role of government and non-government organizations in promoting food security. Emphasize the importance of climate-smart agriculture, resource conservation, and the integration of modern technologies to enhance food production and resilience against climate change, contributing to the achievement of SDG 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

Nature-based Solutions and Sustainability

Environmental education includes creating awareness through community discussions, trainings, and workshops about the need for change and ways of environmental protection for all including the community, private sector, government bodies and the youth to address SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.

Disaster Risk & Response (DRR)

Disaster Risk & Response involves systematic efforts taken and strategies put in place to minimise the impact of disasters on communities with activities such as hazard assessment, preparedness planning. Research deals with the problems encountered by stakeholders in different sectors attempting to meet the needs of natural disaster affected people for achieving SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.

Environmental Health and WASH​

Health, water, and sanitation are interconnected with crucial roles in ensuring the well-being of communities. Addressing these issues requires a multidisciplinary approach focusing on educating communities about proper hygiene practices, and advocacy for implementation policies and regulations to ensure water quality and sanitation standards, usage of research and technology to develop sustainable and innovative solutions in accordance with SDG 6: Clean water and Sanitation.

Greenpreneurship

Greenpreneurship involves facilitation of individuals creating and leading business ventures that prioritize ‘Green’ or environmental impact alongside financial goals through capacity building with the intention of providing them with the skills, knowledge, resources, and support they need to succeed in their green entrepreneurial endeavours to help achieve SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
